About Me
I’ve always had a passion for growth and personal development – both for myself, and others around me. I've realised this in my 15 years working in Human Resources, and in my current roles as a counsellor, counselling tutor and supervisor.
Having benefitted from counselling a number of years ago myself myself, I wanted to find out what it would be like 'on the other side.' I found the studies and training rewarding, and I soon knew I wanted to spend more time counselling others.
I am a CPCAB approved counselling tutor, delivering L2, L3, and L4 diploma counselling courses at a college in Reading where I enjoy supporting trainees on their journey to becoming qualified counsellors. My passion for development and growth also comes through in my supervision of other counsellors, where I facilitate group supervision for a counselling agency, in addition to offering supervision as part of my private practice.
As counsellors we have different beliefs about ‘how we function,’ and this informs how each of us works.
I believe the answers are within us as individuals and that it’s my role as a counsellor to walk alongside as you explore your thoughts and feelings. The patterns we experience in our current relationships (with ourself and with others) are influenced by earlier times, such as our childhood or experiences we’ve had in the past. Our counselling sessions will involve me listening to you, helping you to explore your emotions, and also look at what role the past plays in how you feel.
